testGATE Facilitator Katie Diehl

Katie grew up in Pocatello and received her degree from Boise State University in Elementary Education. She has taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 4th grade and spent the last three years teaching Social Studies, Health and various elective classes at Hawthorne Middle School.  In addition to teaching, she served as advisor for Hawthorne's National Junior Honor Society. Katie states, “My favorite thing about teaching has always been the relationships that I get to build with students, and using these relationships to show students their potential and push them past their usual comfort zone in their education. I love that this new position will allow me to work with students and watch them grow over the years.” 

Aaron HallGATE Facilitator Aaron Hall

Aaron has taught 4th and 5th grades at Ellis Elementary School for the past 11 years. In addition to teaching he has served as Technology Mentor and Technology Instructional Coach and was awarded the Technology Educator of the Year Award from the Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE) in 2012. He also taught students in STEM in an after school program as well as co-facilitated four different First Lego League (FLL) teams. Aaron was raised and attended most of his schooling in Pocatello. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Education at ISU.  Aaron states, “It is a privilege and honor to further serve my community in a new role as a facilitator within the Gifted and Talented Program. I look forward to working with your children and building a foundation for inspired lifelong learning.”
